Home Visiting for Prenatal and Young Families

You Don't Have To Do Parenting Alone

Every family deserves support! Our home visiting program offers personalized guidance during pregnancy and early parenting to help families grow, connect, and thrive. Home visits are performed by registered nurses or trained parent educators. All families will receive regular home visits until the child turns 5.

Home visits are available in Piute, Sanpete, Sevier and Wayne Counties.

What do families receive?

    • Regular home visits from a parent educator who will share age appropriate child development and parenting information and activities, help you learn to observe and react to your child and address your parenting concerns. Video conference also available.
    • Assistance with connecting to resources 
    • Child health and development screenings
    • Adult depression screenings
    • Participation in Group Connections where you can join other parents to learn and share information on parenting issues and child development.

How do I qualify?

By meeting all three of the following criteria.

    1. If you are on or qualify for food stamps, Medicaid or WIC. 
    2. If your family has a prenatal individual, a newborn, or child up to age 5.
    3. Live in Piute, Sevier, Sanpete, or Wayne Counties.

Mission Statement

Central Early Intervention provides services to children to support and facilitate developmental growth and empower families for success in daily routines.

What Is Early Intervention?

Early Intervention is a program for infants and toddlers-Birth to age 3, that teaches families how to support their child’s development. Early Intervention services are customized for every child and family, and are provided by a team of professionals.

Who Is Eligible for Early Intervention Services?

Early Intervention provides support and services to families with children birth to age three who may have developmental delays, disabilities, or diagnosed conditions, such as Down Syndrome or Spina Bifida. Caring professionals such as Early Intervention Specialists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists provide services through a family coaching model that focuses on helping children meet goals in all areas of development. All services take place in the child’s natural environment (home, child care, etc.) and are tailored to meet the individual needs of the child and family.

Who Do I Call?

Any parent/guardian or professional who is concerned about an infant or toddler's development can make a referral to early intervention.
